Uno's Gluten-Free Pizza

I love to go to Uno's Pizzeria! Not too long ago, we went and got a gluten free pizza for the first time. I took the biggest piece and took a bite. It was spectacular!! My mom and I ordered EXTRA cheese and olives. In some restaurants that I've been to, it can take a while for the gluten free meals to be made. At Uno's, it is ready super fast. The crust can be crumbly and fall apart because it isn't as doughy as the gluten filled pizza. Uno doesn't have just pizza, they have many other gluten free foods there too. For example, Banana's Foster is on the dessert menu. Yum!

Check out Uno's website here.

Grilled Cheese Please!

I went to the Pop Shop all the time before I was diagnosed with Celiac. I thought I'd never get to go there again because of all the gluten. Just this week, we went there. I had no idea how many delicious gluten free things were there! They had french toast of all sorts, grilled cheese, milkshakes, salads, and french fries. All gluten-free!

I had no idea what to eat, there was so much! When I made up my mind, I ordered grilled cheese. I'm still getting used to the gluten free bread, so I wasn't expecting much. I took one bite. WOW! The bread was amazing! The warm, gooey cheese melted on my fingers. The moist bread gave flavor. It was mouthwatering! I think I'll have that again! I hope I can go again soon, there are still so many things to eat on the gluten-free menu!!!

Gluten-Free Family Support

Frozen Hot Chocolate in NYC!
It's been about three months since I developed Celiac. So far, my Mom has been a big help with what foods to eat and not to eat, answering my questions about Celiac, and making me feel comfortable in this new world. Also, at parties and sleepovers, everyone usually eats pizza and cupcakes and other things with gluten. I just had a sleepover a few weeks ago and my Mom bought me a gluten-free pizza and some gluten-free cupcakes so I could eat the things everyone else was eating. There are always a bunch of things I can eat when it comes to parties of any sort. I'm really glad I know my family is supporting me!

My First Gluten-Free Dessert

♥My First Gluten-Free Creme Brulee♥
I tried a Creme Brulee from Trader Joe's. It has a vanilla creme filling inside it, a smooth chocolate shell, and a caramelized top.  It has a creamy vanilla pudding taste and a smooth taste of milk chocolate. I was so happy to eat a dessert I thought I'd never enjoy!  It was exciting when I ate it because I had this unexpected, wonderful treat after I got Celiac.  I was sharing it with Mom and ended up almost eating the whole thing! :) It is so good!  I can't wait to have another.  This cold dessert made my taste buds jump for joy!

Hello Gluten Free World

Hello world!! ♥
The reason I am doing this blog is because I thought I would feel better to know I'm not the only kid with Celiac. Also, my mom has a great blog about her life with Celiac. Her blog is called: Hold The Gluten.

At first, I was nervous to tell my friends about being gluten-free, but I thought it'd be best to let them know my experience. Even after I told them, they treat me with respect. Now that I know much more about Celiac, never before have I felt so open to this new world I will be living in from now on.
